Hoosier Hills Credit Union Job Type: Full Time Pay Range: $12.62-$18.92 Summary/Objective Open new accounts, originate loans, and assist members with advanced inquiries/requests. Responsible for processing transactions. Responsibilities To be an integral part of the Hoosier Hills Credit Union and Service Center team in living out our corporate mission; “ To be better for our members by making a positive difference in their lives and the communities we serve.” Deliver outstanding service to both internal and external members that is in alignment with the Credit Union's Service Promises. Meet or exceed established sales and service goals. Maintain current knowledge of all Credit Union products, as assessed by the annual product knowledge certification. Member Service Responsibilities Conduct loan interviews and process loan applications. Stay current on interest rates and be capable of discussing various loan and deposit alternatives with members. Refer members to other departments/CUSOs when additional financial needs are recognized. Process all required documentation. Open, process, and close memberships and accounts. Assist members with account maintenance and problems. Process transactions, and provide information as requested. Identify the financial needs of members and recommend an appropriate Credit Union solution. Teller Responsibilities Greet members promptly and professionally. Process transactions in an accurate, timely, and courteous manner. Assist members with account problems and provide information as requested. Process all required documentation. Prove cash, negotiable items, and merchandise items at the end of the day. Image and proof negotiable items. Assure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and security of work area, cash drawer, desks, equipment, etc. Comply with the policies and procedures of Hoosier Hills Credit Union. Comply with privacy issues and requirements. Complete annual Bank Secrecy/OFAC and any related training annually as assigned by Training or Compliance Staff. Comply with all applicable BSA/AML laws, rules, regulations, policies and business practices established by Credit Union management. Perform teller duties as assigned. File and maintain member records. Conduct account research as needed. Assist with filing and shredding. Assist with nightly checkout. Perform other duties as assigned. Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for servicing Credit Union members and projecting a positive image as representative for the Credit Union. Work requires knowledge of all Credit Union products, services and policies. Requires education equivalent to a four-year high school diploma. At least six months of cash handling and/or customer service experience. Intermediate mathematical skill required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.). Basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software and the use of the Internet. Work Environment/Physical Demands Service Center days of operation are Monday-Saturday. Hours vary by location. Works in a typical administrative setting with climate control and appropriate lighting. Work requires sitting and frequent standing, as well as lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds when moving coin and cash drawer. Other Duties Perform other duties as assigned.
